Unaccompanied luggage must imperatively be dropped off several hours before your departure or even the previous day in the freight area except for that collected directly from your home. A transport file will then be drawn up by our agents, including a number of important documents :
Our agent will inform you of the scheduled lead time for forwarding your goods, subject to availability. Note: this information is non-contractual and provided for information purposes only. In compliance with aviation security regulations, the shipment of your goods may be delayed (for example if the consolidated shipment reveals opaque areas when scanned with x-rays). Consequently, we advise that you check with the Freight Department at your end destination to ensure that your shipment has been received before going to fetch it.
Upon arrival, your cargo will be stored until it is picked up or delivered. You should take care as at some destinations you may be subject to warehousing costs if you do not collect your shipment within 2 or 3 days following its arrival!
Packaging: items are handled several times during transportation and it is important to ensure that each of your shipments includes sufficiently strong and sturdy packaging to avoid any damage.
If your shipment requires special packaging, please feel free to contact our agents for advice.contacts
Your declaration of the contents enables the airline to identify "at risk" items and to take the necessary precautions, and so you should be sure to draw up an exhaustive list of your products in order that the necessary temperature and handling precautions may be taken (fruit and vegetables, fish, glass bottles, etc)..
Due to the need for customs checks, our agents must be able to access the contents of your shipment (if locked, you should provide a duplicate set of keys).
You can also take out ad valorem insurance for the transportation of your unaccompanied items/luggage as freight (invoice required). For shipments with a high market value, specific transport conditions apply - please enquire beforehand (example: works of art, etc.).
Hidden hazardous items!
Please note: airline regulations are complex and extremely strict, so please feel free to ask us any questions concerning acceptance criteria (quantity limitations/required documents/packaging, etc).
(Examples of hazardous items: aerosols, perfumes, strong alcoholic drinks, corrosive or flammable liquids, batteries, fireworks, refills for lighters, camping stove bottles, gas bottles, etc).
