6. Use of tickets

The coupons of every ticket issued by CORSAIR must be used in sequential order, except with the express prior consent of CORSAIR, and according to the following conditions:

(a) The ticket you have purchased is valid only for the carriage indicated thereon, from the departure point to the arrival point appearing on the ticket. CORSAIR reserves the right to schedule, or not, stopovers, as well as the right to remove or modify them without informing the client or obtaining his or her consent. Each ticket flight coupon is valid for carriage in the class specified thereon, at the date and for the flight corresponding to your reservation. The fare you paid corresponds to the route indicated on your ticket.

(b) The ticket is non-transferable, whether for payment or gratuitously. Any change of name on an issued ticket will give rise to the loss of this ticket if it is non-refundable, or to the purchase of a new ticket followed by the refund of the original ticket in the case of a refundable ticket.

(c) Subject to specific conditions applicable to certain one-time or promotional fares, if you wish to modify all or part of your trip, CORSAIR will calculate the new fare corresponding to the change. You will then have the choice of accepting the new price or keeping the original carriage as shown on the ticket. If you decide to change your ticket, you must pay the difference between the original fare and the new fare. If the new fare is less than the original fare, the difference will be refunded to you, if possible. In all cases, the prior flight ticket coupons shall no longer have any value and shall be cancelled by CORSAIR. They shall not give rise to any carriage if presented at the check-in counter.

(d) In case of failure to be present at the time of departure (without having notified CORSAIR in advance when the ticket may be modified), your reservations on the return flight shall be automatically cancelled by CORSAIR.

(e) Every ticket must be fully paid before boarding. Otherwise, the passenger will not be permitted to board.

7.Validity of tickets

Except as otherwise provided for in specific conditions indicated at the time of your online reservation, a ticket is valid for one year:

  • as from the date of issue thereof, or,
  • as from the date of use of the first coupon, if such use occurs within one year of the issue thereof.

8.Purchase of tickets

You may reserve for up to a maximum of nine (9) passengers, including adults and children, per itinerary. Each adult passenger may travel with only one (1) infant on their lap. The maximum number of infants allowed on board is twenty-five (25).

Should you wish to make further ticket reservations, you may open another itinerary. Your purchase will be confirmed, once the entire itinerary price has been paid, by the display of a reference to your itinerary, which shall be confirmed via an instantaneous email summarizing all the elements of your purchase, sent to the email address you previously provided.

In all cases, any purchase is always made subject to full settlement of the purchase price. If settlement of the purchase price was not confirmed or was cancelled before boarding, the passenger presenting that ticket will be refused permission to board.

If you wish to take the flight, you must purchase another ticket. We may refuse to refund any ticket, after its expiration.

12. Liability of the air carrier with respect to passengers and their baggage

This information memorandum summarizes the rules of liability applicable to European air carriers as required by European legislation and the Montreal Convention.

Indemnification in cases of injury or death : There is no monetary limit to liability in cases of death or injury of a passenger. For any damage up to a value of 100,000 SDR (approximately €123,000), the air carrier may not contest the claim for indemnity. If the damage exceeds this amount, the air carrier can only defend against a claim by proving that it was not negligent or otherwise at fault.

Payment of advances: In case of injury to or death of a passenger, the air carrier must pay an advance to cover immediate economic needs within fifteen (15) days of identifying the person with a right to indemnification. In case of death, this advance may not be less than 16,000 SDR (approximately €20,000).

Delay of passengers: In case of passenger delays, the air carrier is liable for damages, unless it took all reasonably possible measures to prevent them or if it was impossible to take such measures. Liability for passenger delays is limited to 4,150 SDR (approximately €5,100).

Delay of baggage: In case of baggage delays, the air carrier is liable for damages, unless it took all reasonable measures to prevent them or if it was impossible to take such measures. Liability for baggage delays is limited to 1,000 SDR (approximately €1,230).

Destruction, loss or damage to baggage: The air carrier is liable for the destruction, loss or damage to baggage, up to 1,000 SDR (approximately €1,230). In the case of checked baggage, it is liable even it committed no fault, unless the baggage was defective. In the case of un-checked baggage, the carrier is not liable unless it is at fault. .

Higher limit of liability for baggage: A passenger can benefit from a higher liability limit by making a special declaration, at the latest at the time of check-in, and by paying an additional fee.

Complaints relating to baggage : In the event of the damage, delay, loss or destruction of baggage, the passenger concerned must file a written complaint with the carrier as soon as possible. In the event of damages to checked baggage or of a delay in their arrival, the passenger must file a written complaint within the respective time limits of seven (7) days (in the event of damage or destruction) and twenty-one (21) days (in the event of delay) as from the date on which the baggage was made available to the passenger.

Relative liability of the contracting carrier and the actual carrier: If the air carrier operating the flight is not the same as the carrier with whom a contract was made, the passenger has the right to file a complaint or a claim against either of these carriers. If the name or code of an air carrier appears on the ticket, that carrier is the one with whom a contract was concluded.

Time limitation for recourse : Any actions in liability must be filed within two (2) years as from the arrival of the aircraft, or as from the date on which the aircraft was scheduled to arrive.

Basis of the above rules : The above-described rules are based on the Montreal Convention of May 28, 1999, implemented by the European Union by regulation (EC) no. 2027/97 (as modified by the regulation (EC) no. 889/2002) and by the national legislation of the member States.mbres.

This summary may not be used for purposes of indemnification, claim, or interpretation of the provisions of the applicable regulations and the Montreal Convention and it does not create any contractual rights between the passenger and CORSAIR.

Some countries require that passengers' passports be valid at least six (6) months after their return.

On flights to the French Antilles or Reunion, after June 16, 2006, these are the new rules issued by the police authority responsible for civil aviation and border control of ORLY:

  • Minors over 12 years old, considered as adults at the time of ticket purchase, must travel with a passport or a national identity card and an authorization to leave the territory.
  • Minors traveling with parents (father or mother) who do not have the same family name must present the Family Record Book as well as a national identity card.*Note that the Family Record Book is not recognized as a piece of identification at Saint-Martin because Corsair leaves the Dutch side of the island.
  • Minors traveling with other family members (brother, sister, aunt, uncle, etc...) who do not have the same family name must travel with a passport or with a national identity card and authorization to leave the territory. toire.

NO minor may travel with the passport of his or her parents if the parents do not accompany him or her.
NO minor over 15 years old may travel on the passport of his or her parents, even if his or her parents are accompanying him or her. From the age of 15, minors must carry their own piece of identification.
These criteria are provided as a suggestion. It is the responsibility of each traveler to ask the relevant authorities which documents are necessary to enter the destination country (or DOM-TOM), at the time of his trip.

    23. General conditions for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM )

    1. Definitions
    "PRM" means any person whose mobility is reduced, when using transport, because of any physical disability (sensory or motor, permanent or temporary), or of any intellectual impairment or any other cause of disability, or age, or pregnancy and whose situation requires special attention and adaptation to the person's needs of the services made available to all Passengers. (Article 2 of European regulation 1107/2006 of July 5, 2006)

    "Companion" means any person accompanying the PRM during his or her transport. This person must be an adult, civilly responsible, not having custody of a child under 12 years of age during the flight, and capable of meeting the needs of the PRM in his care and of evacuating him, if necessary, when the PRM is not autonomous.

    2. Reservation and boarding of PRM

    CORSAIR or its agent may refuse to accept a reservation for a PRM or refuse a PRM permission to board in order to comply with applicable security requirements, or if the size of the aircraft or its doors make the boarding or the transport of the PRM impossible.

    These restrictions are listed in this article 2 of this chapter.

    In case of a refusal to accept a reservation in the cases described above, CORSAIR, or its agent, shall endeavour, within reasonable limits, to propose an alternative solution acceptable to the PRM.

    In case of refusal of permission to board, the PRM concerned and his "Companion" shall have a right to reimbursement or to the re-routing described in article 8 of regulation (EC) no. 261/2004 of February 11, 2004. The right to a return flight or to a re-routing is subject to meeting all security requirements.

    a) Restrictions on reservations and/or boarding by PRM's:

    • Absence of a Companion when the person is not autonomous (meal/safety belt/oxygen mask/washroom).
    • The medical material or cabin setup necessary on board the person's trip is not available for the flight in question.
    • The person cannot take off or land while belted into a standard seat and no other additional seating is available (in sufficient number).
    • The person exhibits behavioural problems and is unaccompanied.
    • The person exhibits behavioural problems and does not have a medical opinion from the CORSAIR doctor authorizing him to travel alone.
    • The maximum number of PRMs on the flight in question has been reached.
    • The maximum number of seeing-eye dogs on the flight in question has been reached.
    • The seeing-eye-dog is not properly muzzled, harnessed and leashed.
    • The medications, vaccines, syringes, medical material (respirator, etc...) which are products that are prohibited aboard and which must be used during the flight were not brought to the attention of or were not subject to a preliminary agreement by CORSAIR.ORSAIR.
    • The electric wheelchair of the person is indispensable to him in the cabin and he is unable to take off/land in a standard airplane seat according to the rules of safety in force.
    • The electric wheelchair of the person has one or more liquid electrolyte batteries and the person cannot leave such batteries behind.
    • The electric wheelchair of the person does not conform to applicable safety regulations to be accepted aboard the aircraft and the person cannot leave it behind.

    b) Grounds for the downgrading of the PRM at boarding:

    CORSAIR may downgrade a PRM and his Companion if, at the time of check-in or boarding, it notices that:

    • The PRM cannot move about without material or human help, or that
    • The PRM can move about horizontally but has difficulty climbing and descending stairs.

    Since this downgrading is for safety reasons, Corsair cannot be held liable for it.

    c)Criteria for autonomy of the PRM/Companion

    A person is considered autonomous when all the following criteria are fulfilled:
    -he or she can eat alone;
    -he or she can fasten and undo his or her seat belt alone;
    -he or she can adjust his or her oxygen mask alone; and
    -he or she is autonomous in the washroom.

    If even one of these criteria is not fulfilled, CORSAIR requires the presence of a Companion during the PRM's trip.

    Since the presence of a Companion is required for safety reasons, his or her absence can justify the refusal of a reservation and/or boarding by the PRM in question. Corsair can therefore not be held liable for such refusal.

    3. Notice by the PRM to CORSAIR:

    a) To permit CORSAIR to provide and/or permit the provision of the necessary assistance for his or her travel (by CORSAIR and/or the airport), the PRM must notify CORSAIR at the latest forty-eight (48) hours before the published departure time of the flight concerned of: considéré :

    • His or her specific needs for assistance (*)
    • The presence of a seeing-eye dog on board or in the hold

    b) This service is free.

    c) If the necessary information for assisting the PRM was not communicated to CORSAIR within this deadline, CORSAIR will make its best efforts to provide and/or permit the provision of the necessary assistance. If the proper assistance or boarding of the person is not possible in light of the delayed notice by the PRM, CORSAIR shall not be held liable for any deficiency or insufficiency in the assistance provided, nor in case of refusal of permission to board.mbarquement.

    d) The PRM must be present at the latest:

      • for check-in:
    • at the time specified in advance by CORSAIR, its agent, or the travel agent; or
    • if no time was specified, at the latest one hour before the published departure time; or
      • otherwise at a point inside the airport perimeter:
    • at the time specified in advance by CORSAIR, its agent, or the travel agent; or
    • if no time was specified, at the latest two hours before the published departure time.

    e) In the case that the PRM is late (present only after the deadlines indicated in d)1.a) or d)2.a) above), CORSAIR will make its best efforts to check in and board the PRM. CORSAIR shall not be held liable in case of refusal of permission to board.

    f) In the case that the PRM is late (present only after the deadlines indicated in d)1.b) or d)2.b) above), CORSAIR may refuse the passenger permission to board for failure to be present at the time of check-in.

    4. What assistance can be provided by CORSAIR?

    • Transport of recognized seeing-eye dogs in the cabin or in the hold, subject to national regulations;
    • Transport, aside from medical equipment, of a maximum of two pieces of mobility equipment per PRM, including an electric wheelchair, with forty-eight (48) hour prior notice and subject to the existence of sufficient space aboard the aircraft, and subject to applicable legislation relating to dangerous materials;
    • Making every possible effort, within reasonable limits, to assign seats in such a way as to meet the needs of PRMs, at their request, subject to safety requirements and availability;
    • Assistance to get to the washroom, upon request;
    • If a PRM is helped by a Companion, CORSAIR makes every possible effort, within reasonable limits, to assign to that Companion a seat next to the PRM;
    • Providing medical oxygen, upon request by the PRM (paid service)
    • Details concerning assistance that can be provided by CORSAIR on request

    • Request for medical oxygen on board

    For security reasons, CORSAIR does not authorize the use, onboard its aircrafts, of medical oxygen tanks brought by clients. A person requiring medical oxygen on board must request it from CORSAIR at least ten (10) working days before the published departure date of the flight concerned.

    This request must be accompanied by a medical certificate from, and specific form completed by, your treating doctor, which the latter must send to the CORSAIR doctor at the latest ten (10) working days before the published departure date of the flight concerned. To obtain the form, contact us (link to the "Contact Us" page).

    Only the CORSAIR doctor is authorized to permit your transport.

    The provision of medical oxygen is a paid service. It is billed at the price of €382* taxes included per trip. *(Fees subject to modification without prior notice).

    Note: failure to obtain permission from the CORSAIR doctor and/or the late recognition by the PRM of his needs for assistance make up part of the restrictions listed in article 2 of this chapter which can justify the refusal of permission to board.

    Personal medical oxygen tanks are allowed in the hold, as long as they are empty and un-capped.

    • Traveling with medical material?

    We ask that you have a medical certificate with you, attesting to the medical necessity of transporting, in the cabin, medications, vaccines or syringes. If the product transported must be kept cold, you must supply an insulated container meeting the requirements for carry-on baggage, since to refrigeration mechanism is available onboard.

    We must be made aware of the transportation of this type of material at the latest forty-eight (48) hours before the published departure time of the flight concerned in order to inform the airport authorities, as well as the flight crew.

    For medical material (respirator, electrical wheelchair or other material), you must make a request to the company for prior authorization. The material will not be accepted unless it meets the requirements of regulations governing the transport of dangerous materials.

    For this, we are at your service (link to "Contact Us" page).

    Note: failure to obtain permission from the CORSAIR doctor and/or the late recognition by the PRM of his needs for assistance make up part of the restrictions listed in article 2 of this chapter which can justify the refusal of permission to board.

    • Les passagers présentant des troubles du comportement

    A passenger (adult or child) who exhibit behavioural problems must be accompanied.

    Such a passenger can only be transported with the prior permission of the CORSAIR doctor. To this end, the PRM must provide a medical certificate attesting that he does not present any danger to the safety of the flight, to himself or herself, to the other passengers, or to the crew.

    The Companion must meet the criteria specified above.

    The request for admission on board must be presented to CORSAIR at the latest forty-eight (48) hours before the published departure time of the flight concerned (contact us).

    In any case, the decision of whether or not to permit the passenger to board (accompanied or not) remains at the discretion of the aircraft captain the day of the departure.

    Note: failure to obtain permission from the CORSAIR doctor and/or the late recognition by the PRM of his needs for assistance make up part of the restrictions listed in article 2 of this chapter which can justify the refusal of permission to board.
